🎉 Sustainable Energy for All | #SDG7BeBold and World Food Programme have launched a partnership to accelerate #cleancooking in schools in #Africa .

The partnership will first focus on #Tanzania 🇹🇿 where H.E. Samia Suluhu has set a goal to deliver clean cooking to 80% of the population by 2033.

On the sidelines of the Summit on Clean Cooking in Africa, I met with President Julius Maada Bio, the President of #SierraLeone

We discussed Sustainable Energy for All | #SDG7BeBold's continued support to 🇸🇱on critical development areas such as powering hospitals with #cleanenergy & development of key #energy policies.

In a meeting with Damilola Ogunbiyi, UN's Special Representative for Sustainable Energy for All Sustainable Energy for All | #SDG7BeBold, COP29 President-Designate Mukhtar Babayev discussed supporting nations in formulating their energy policies & investment plans ahead of #COP29 , and the next round of NDCs.

On the sidelines of the Summit on Clean Cooking in Africa, I met with Mary Robinson, former President of #Ireland and the current chair of The Elders, and Graça Machel, the founder and chairperson of the GracaMachelTrust.

Cooking with clean electricity offers a promising, scalable, and sustainable alternative.

At the Summit on Clean Cooking in Africa, I highlighted that Sustainable Energy for All | #SDG7BeBold and its partners are championing the Global Electric Cooking Coalition (@geccoHQ) launched at COP28 UAE.

At the Summit on Clean Cooking in Africa, I highlighted that Sustainable Energy for All | #SDG7BeBold is exploring how to utilize results-based financing to accelerate #cleancooking .

Through Universal Energy Facility (UEF) we are demonstrating the opportunities to scale up clean cooking through #minigrids & off-grid systems.

At the Summit on Clean Cooking in Africa, I announced that Sustainable Energy for All | #SDG7BeBold in collaboration with World Food Programme and the UK aid-funded Modern Energy Cooking Services, we have designed a large-scale institutional e-cooking initiative in schools to kick-start in #Tanzania , under the patronage of H.E Samia Suluhu.
