Congratulations Heather Knight and Tim Hawkins Bioimaging@Durham who have been awarded a BBSRC grant jointly with Gabriele Sosso Sosso Group, University of Warwick, to study what dictates where and when damaging ice forms in plants.
The work will combine molecular dynamic modelling of ice nucleation and propagation in plant cell walls with state-of-the-art imaging of ice in plants, investigating the link between these and plant survival of winter conditions. Bioimaging@Durham Sosso Group
