For our next event featuring the Water Project we will begin with a listening group setup where they will present an overview of their work to date. This will be a casual and open approach where any comments and questions are welcome.

Coillte planning to hand over 123k acres of land to investment fund. In 2012 the FG/Lab gov tried to sell off our forests. People Before Profit The Woodland League and others organised major protests to stop this. Looks like we’ll have to do that again.

Exceptional music at LouthCMS midsummer festival. Highlights for me were Linda Catlin Smith’s ‘Meadow’, Catherine Lamb’s ‘Muto Infinitas’ and particularly Pascal Dusapin's ‘O Mensch’. Also some exquisite mic arrays from David Stalling!

L–R: Catherine Lamb, ambisonic rig :-)

Farpoint Recordings have released 'SacrumProfanum' by composer Benjamin Dwyer, a work for ensemble and tape inspired by the medieval Sheela-na-gig carvings found in Ireland. James Camien McGuiggan reviews.
