The youngest members of our Braybrook family have certainly been very busy this week! On Friday, Father Jeffrey visited our school to christen baby Lewis. #ConfidentIndividuals

As artists and designers, Year 2 created their own unique superhero structure from wire. The children bent, twisted and shaped their wire before adding modelling clay. This was part of their Kapow Primary sculpture and mixed media unit. #ConfidentIndividuals

Amber Class visited Peterborough Cathedral to learn about ‘our city’. Not only did they learn about the history of Peterborough and the cathedral, but also the geography through studying maps and aerial photographs. They also made some magnificent cathedral artwork!

Today, Year 2 took part in a ‘Great Fire of London’ workshop with Lou from The National Archives Education Service . As historians, the children studied a range of artefacts to find out in detail about the fire. They used their detective skills to learn about London in 1666. #AspireandAchieve

As geographers, the children have enjoyed another ‘Passport to the World’. The children learnt about the geography and the cultures of a country. They also learnt about the traditional foods associated with each country. The school smelt wonderful! Year 2 visited Mexico! #P2W

Today, Year 1 visited Italy. They had an incredibly busy day! Amongst their learning, they made pizzas and learnt some Italian! #ConfidentIndividuals #P2W

Year 6, visited China as part of their ‘Passport to the World’ experience. This included making spring rolls. Super chopping, grating and rolling skills, Jet Class. They tasted amazing! #ConfidentIndividuals #P2W

Year 4 were also investigating the geography and cultures of an Asian country. They visited India! The corridors were full of the delicious aroma of their vegetable curry. #HappyandHealthy #P2W

Thank you to a Eric and and Steve, our Sustrans East @Sustrans officers, who ran a Dr Bike, in school today. They were kept busy pumping up tyres and checking brakes and saddles. #HappyandHealthy #SustainableTravel

Whilst our Twitter feed may have been quiet, it’s been an extremely busy last month. Yesterday, we said goodbye to Mrs Blackhurst who is moving back to Scotland. We wish her all the best in her new school.

Our Times Tables Rock Stars day was a huge success! Children from Year 2- Year 6 classes battled it out to win prizes and more importantly, improve their TT Rockstar skills. Meanwhile Our EYFS and Year 1 classes earnt NumBots (Rusty) 💎 rewards! #Primarymaths #AspireandAchieve #ConfidentIndividuals

Key Stage 1 visited St Luke’s RC Church - Peterborough to learn about what can be found inside a church. Father Jeffrey taught the children about each part of the church and answered all their questions.
