My advice to young coaches. Make sure your managers, trainers, statisticians, etc feel like they’re part of the team. Here’s part of a note I received from my manager today,

When I first started teaching I would take a briefcase to work (like any good professional 😂) Of course I stopped using it years ago, but I kept it in my cabinet and would put thank you notes in it. I’m having so much fun reading them. So many great students through the years!

5pm is dinner time. They never let me forget.
