Introduced Connor to St James's Parks resident Great White Pelicans, safe to say that after being introduced in the 1660s they are quite at home in the Capital...so much so that one took it upon itself to lead a tour! What a bizarre encounter!!

Once a common sight in town parks in Merseyside, now quite a scarce winter visitor, pochards seem quite common in London...lovely to see.

St James's Park, London...some interesting waterfowl amongst the captive collection with Pochards, Gadwall, Egyptian Geese, and fully winged Ross's Goose & Bar-headed Goose amongst others #plasticfantastic

Capercaillie can be very sensitive to disturbance, so we're working with Cairngorms National Park, Police Scotland and others to protect these iconic birds throughout the breeding season.
