Been thinking about this a lot. The Judge was correct to say the school hadn’t breached guidance. Does that mean the guidance is correct and safeguarding children? No. Is there an opportunity and imperative to review the guidance? Yes, the consultation has already happened.

We were thrilled to welcome Catherine McKinnell MP to hear directly from young people at our Collective Get Together. Young people shared their experiences with the Minister and their ideas for reforming the SEND system.

To Amelia and Claire, ‘ordinary’ means going to secondary school with her sister. It means being able to join in with everyone else at school, like telling jokes or being in the school play. Every child deserves a chance at ‘ordinary’. #FightForOrdinary bit.ly/FFOAction

There is nothing ‘special’ about getting a school or nursery place. There is nothing ‘special’ about wanting to be happy at school. There is nothing ‘special’ about wanting to combine parenting with work. ✅ These are just the ordinary things that all parents want.

Right now, families of disabled children are being let down by a broken education system. That’s why we’re backing the Disabled Children's Partnership. With SEND reforms on the horizon, we have a once-in-a-generation chance to get it right. ✍️ Write to your MP: bit.ly/4f0j7F6

Fight for an education that works for all of us. The SEND system is changing, and no-one knows what needs to change more than the families who live it day in, day out. It’s time to fix the SEND system. Tell your MP ▶️ …t.disabledchildrenspartnership.org.uk/en-gb/fight-or…

Good luck to autistic young people getting their BTec, T-Level or #ALevelResults grades today. You may have faced challenges in your education and you should be feeling very proud of all you have achieved, whatever the results.

It’s #ALevelResultsDay! Good luck to everyone receiving their results. Making transitions, including to higher or further education, work, volunteering or training, can be challenging. We have advice about strategies and support that can help: bit.ly/3j0RbEH
