Ping Pong Dim Sum UK in London have replaced service charge with a 15% “brand fee” to go towards company costs.

Workers have been compensated with £1 an hour above the minimum wage.

This is a cynical attempt to circumvent the Fair Tips Law & deny workers £££s.

A lot of hospitality workers don’t even know their basic legal rights. And like with any concessions- it’s up to the workers to organise to make sure they happen. And to fight for more.

Despite our members winning #FairTips in many restaurants, Miller & Carter are still enforcing awful policies which are costing workers £££s.

One of our members had to tip-out more than she earned in gratuities meaning she earned £4.92 an hour that night.

This is unlawful.
