Brave Carmela today at hospital, having a heart test to see if the ICD is suitable before surgery next week, and thankfully, yes, it is. Please send Carmela any jokes and positive vibes for a long 4 to 6 weeks of recovery, which will take its toll on her weak body.

Carmela's surgery went well, but she has had a really tough time with pain and dizziness and tears because she can't move at all in bed, or sit up herself, so only 3hrs sleep. Carmela will have another Xray this morning to check the defibrillator position is still good.
