The protected view from Richmond Park to St Paul's Cathedral includes The Way gates by Joshua De Lisle ( 2011).
Sitting in the oak leaf design is a small bird - a wren - a reference to the designer of the cathedral 10 miles away.

An enjoyable Wren in the City tour yesterday ( we don't mind a bit of rain, do we...)
Once again, star of the show was a peek inside St Mary Aldermany, at its extraordinary ceiling. Rebuilt by the office of Wren, the expense of such decoration met by the Will of a parishioner.
