New paper from thehuwslab. Based on work completed by Chris Elliott for his MPhil (well done!). Also thanks to co-authors @JoanEdw49160497 Toby Wilkinson and others who are not on here. bit.ly/2DbZcVx
Wonderful paper by Wang et al. (biorxiv.org/content/early/…) showing how divergence of anaerobic gut fungi coincided with radiation of grasses and evolution of mammalian herbivory. Some intriguing horizontal gene transfer events also identified ANAEROBIC FUNGI NETWORK

Creevey Lab is well represented at #Microbio19 in Belfast. Nick Dimonaco and Karen Siu Ting with posters (A043 & A176 respectively in tomorrows poster session) & Jess Friedersdorff & @flwrs4algrnon with talks (Tuesday and Thursday). Come along and say Hi! 👋 Microbiology Society
Great talk by Jess Friedersdorff today about her work on Hyper ammonia producers (HAPs) from the rumen. She even got an appreciative groan from the audience for her “HAPpy” puns! :) Creevey Lab IBERS - Aber IGFS
On the ferry on our way to #SMBE2019 Manchester! Thanks to Society for Molecular Biology and Evolution for supporting me to come to this meeting with my little one! I’ll be showing my work on poison frog gut microbiome, look me up! See you soon! #WomenInSTEM
