New πΈgopher frogπΈ paper out now, with π John Maerz π and Clint Moore! We built a population viability model and tried to predict the future for this at-risk species under different, plausible drought scenarios in the Southeast US. doi.org/10.1016/j.geccβ¦
We updated the Crawford Lab bulletin board for the upcoming accreditation and prospi visits to DCB Uniandes @uniandes. Thanks ππΌ to very dedicated students|alumni & other brilliant co-authors, the Lab managed to produce some good stuff over the past coupla years, despite it all.
Itβs still happening. #Frogs are still being reported sick & dying across #Australia. Last night during fieldwork in #Sydney I found a just dead green stream #frog (Litoria phyllochroa). And itβs not the first Iβve found. Heartbreaking. π’ Pls report any to [email protected]

βPolymeliaβ = having too many limbs. In πΈ this can be caused by a trematode parasite infecting the tadpole, but also happens by rare chance. Javier Garcia of DCB Uniandes found this 5-legged dendrobatoid πΈ in Mocoa, Putumayo π¨π΄. Come to Museo de Historia Natural Uniandes and see it!
