The voices on the train are happy and in full Monday voice. Stories about weekends and lost love. Stories of work, accidents and crime. Stories about a wedding. The people are in full voice and full of life.

The train crowd is a mixture of all South Africans - people from other parts of the world. Africa. Europe. It’s safe and pleasant. Heads into phones and earphones. Heads on lovers’ shoulders, sleeping. The ongoing recovery of the train service is a brilliant feat.

The train is full. But not crazy crowded. Seats go at a premium. Old people get offered seats. They skip me, thankfully. I breathed a sigh of relief. Laughter echoes from far down the train. The ticket examiners arrive. The security are visible.

Public Transport is a necessary and critical part of engagement. It’s the great leveller in society. Every one - rich and poor - facing each other in the same space. A good trip.

It’s been a tough week, and it’s been a tough day. I wish I could share the story of the train today, but I do not want to get into any trouble. We all have troubles and hard times, to take my mind off things I take the train. This video gives me good memories. FH back soon 🔜

I’ve never felt this awful in a very long time. How small things can trigger you and make you feel bad. All I can say is that I am going to improve and make a change in my own way. But maybe CTrain Stories needs a break and seems we are not welcome anymore. Blessed weekend to all
