The Marian Varsity & JV teams journeyed to Sioux Falls, South Dakota yesterday to run in the Heartland Preview Meet. This is part of the starting line for the Varsity race. Both teams ran fantastic races in the very competitive meet.

The Varsity ran 3rd out of 20 teams at Sioux City!!! Leading the way were Mabel Henningsen 13th, Maya Freyer 18th, Harper Cowles 20th, Julia Kubat 25th & Lena Sabata 26th out of 191 runners. The top 5 ran an average time of 19:45 in the 5K race!!! Go Crusaders!!!

The Marian JV team finished 3rd out of 11 teams in Sioux Falls. Leading the way were Louise Walker 9th, Caxtyn Johnson 11th, Ava DeSmet 16th, Niamh McGarry 19th, Ashley Bialas 24th & Livia Jochim 25th out of 121 runners!!! Great job JV runners!!! A picture will follow.

The Marian JV2 CC team competed in the Prep Invitational at Boystown on Tuesday. In the B race we finished 2nd out of 9 teams. All 9 runners placed in the top 37 runners out of 94 runners in the race. Great job Crusaders!!!

In the C race at the Prep Invitational the Marian team came in 1st out of ten teams. It was a resounding victory as they were 67 points ahead of the second place team!!! It was a great run C racers.

At the Prep Meet the team brought home 9 Medals. In the B race they were Kendyll Tibke 1st, Maddie Waters 9th, & Livia Jochim 13th!!! In the C race they were Leah Johnson 3rd, Kylie Schonhoff 4th, Molly Hughes 6th, Ellie Prososki 10th, Clare Walker 11th, & Anna Kubat 15th!!!

Today in the Lincoln North Star Invitational the Varsity team finished 1st out of 13 teams!!! Running on the Varsity were Mabel Henningsen, Maya Freyer, Reese Lancaster, Lena Sabata, Harper Cowles, Julia Kubat, & Tatum Houghton. All 7 placed in the top 21 out of 85 runners!!!

Also in the North Star Meet today, the Marian JV team finished 2nd out of 11 teams!!! Those running on the JV were Elizabeth Morgan, Louise Walker, Maeve Wharton, Caxtyn Johnson, Ava DeSmet, Ashley Bialas, & Niamh McGarry. All 7 of them finished in the top 31out of 172 runners!

The Marian CC team brought home 7 medals from the Lincoln North Star Meet. In the Varsity Race they were Mabel Henningsen 4th, Maya Freyer 5th, Reese Lancaster 12th, & Lena Sabata 15th!!! In the JV Race they were Elizabeth Morgan 1st, Louise Walker 3rd, & Maeve Wharton 7th!!!

20 Marian runners journeyed to Kearney to run in the UNK High School Invitational. They ended up placing 6 in the top 16 and came in 1st out of 15 teams in the Class A race. They ran great times on a warm day on a challenging course. Great job runners!!!

Today is the day to honor our six seniors!!! They are great workers and great leaders. They have helped make our team better. We know they will go on in life and accomplish great things!!!
