Fish Lovers, we finally have some spawners and they’re wasting no time getting busy laying their eggs in the creek. The atmospheric rains were devastating this year and we lost a lot of spawning habitat but salmon are resilient and they’ll find new spots to deposit their eggs.

Great news at Blake Creek in Delta. Tributary of Cougar Creek. Thanks to many volunteers who helped build spawning habitat at our September workshop we have our first pair of Coho spawners east of the 100’ culverts that are narrow and challenging for fish passage. BCWF Wetlands Education Program

Happy Monday 🐟 Attached is our most recent spawners count. All #Coho except for one confirmed Chum. We have the whole team out Thursday conducting a thorough check including the canyon up to Scott Road. Will revise the totals asap.
