Congratulations are in order for Cornbelt Fire Dept.'s new agreement with @Carle_org's Arrow Ambulance. A shiny new red ambulance will now be housed at the fire department along with three EMTs making response time that much quicker. Read more in Friday's, Feb. 15, publication.

Cornbelt Fire responded to Partridge Ct. today for a report of a house fire. Cornbelt crews arrived on scene and found the attached garage involved with fire. Crews deployed hand lines and were able to quickly extinguish the fire and keep it from the main part of the home

Last week while your children were at home, members of the Cornbelt Fire Protection District spent time with employees from the school district and representatives from the regional office of education to perform annual life safety inspections of all public schools in Mahomet.

With the winter months upon us we’d like to share some helpful home heating tips. Statistics show that about half of all home heating related fires happen between the beginning of December and the end February.
