UK-COMPASS Stephane Elkouri 😷 Vascular Society S R Vallabhaneni Shaneel Patel Jonathan Boyle Michael Jenkins Very interesting results. Similar to our own data published several years ago with a crossing of mortality in follow-up. Well done Rao and team!
Jonathan Boyle UK-COMPASS Adam W. Beck Vascular Society S R Vallabhaneni Shaneel Patel Michael Jenkins This is compelling, particularly since the patient capture is so good. I’m trying to wrap my head around the mechanism here. This is a story that needs to be told. Great work!
UK-COMPASS Devin Zarkowsky @doctorhammond NICE The British Society of Interventional Radiology Vascular Society CIRSE Society of Interventional Radiology National Institute for Health and Care Research BEST-CLI Trial In this case I see general agreement across studies. One treatment is safer but demonstrably less effective over time. With improvements the gap will close . The reality today in the US is rampant off IFU use even in good risk pts
@doctorhammond UK-COMPASS NICE The British Society of Interventional Radiology Vascular Society CIRSE Society of Interventional Radiology National Institute for Health and Care Research I think we need to move away from the ‘one is better than the other’ mantra and accept these as complimentary therapies. The key surely is who benefits most from which (or conservative) treatment? Perhaps COMPASS will actually show our current selection pathways are working.
