PLEASE SHARE: We need your help finding missing 10-year-old Ajonte Webster. He left Central Elementary at 3:30pm and did not arrive at home as scheduled. He was last spotted riding his bike WB around the Monaco Park area at 7:15pm. If you’ve seen Ajonte call 911 immediately.

SATURDAY MORNING UPDATE: Searches went all night and are actively ongoing now. CCPD also utilized an oganization that operates search dogs. So far we have been unable to locate Ajonte.

SERIOUS INJURY COLLISION: I-270 westbound is closed at Quebec while our traffic team works a serious injury crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle. One person has been transported to the hospital. Please avoid the area if possible. Your patience is appreciated.

I-270 has been reopened.

We’re working a one-vehicle rollover crash on I-76 WB in the 11400 block. Five people transported to the hospital, one with serious bodily injury. Cause is under investigation.

CCPD OFFICERS WORK FATAL CRASH AT TOWER & 81ST OVERNIGHT: Sadly one person has died & several more sustained serious injuries in an overnight crash involving a pickup truck & a shuttle bus. Our traffic team is working diligently to reconstruct the collision/determine the cause.

SERIOUS INJURY COLLISION ON I-270 WB: The interstate is shutdown at Vasquez while we investigate a head-on crash that involved a possible wrong-way driver. Drivers of both involved vehicles were transported to the hospital. The extent of their injuries are unknown at this time.

SINGLE VEHICLE CRASH CLOSES 56th BETWEEN EUDORA AND SAND CREEK: We are working this crash where a semi-truck drove off I-270 onto 56th. We don’t know the extent of injuries at this time. Please be advised of the closure on 56th.

Fortunately the driver’s injuries are non-life threatening.

Because of this crash 56th Ave is closed in both directions near Sand Creek Dr S due to bridge damage & falling concrete.   I-270 remains open, but debris risk keeps 56th closed until further notice. Please use alternate routes.

56th Ave is now open after a crash shut it down for the entirety of today.

Highway 2 south of 72nd is completely shutdown while we investigate a vehicle versus bicycle collision. The individual on the bike has been transported to the hospital with serious injuries. We’ll let you know when we reopen the roadway.

CCPD DETECTIVES INVESTIGATING SUSPICIOUS DEATH IN 6200 BLOCK OF GLENCOE: Around 4:30am a passer-by discovered a young woman deceased on the sidewalk with apparent head trauma. Our detectives are currently investigating and asking the public to avoid the area if possible.

We are now investigating this death as a suspected homicide.

After thorough investigative work by our detectives, the suspicious death from overnight yesterday in which a 23-year-old woman was found in the 6200 block of Glencoe Street with apparent head trauma is now being investigated as a potential suicide.

We’re working a car vs motorcycle crash at E 72nd Ave and Magnolia. The motorcycle rider was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The roadway is closed while we investigate.
