You've read the list, but now meet Antentor Othrell Hinton, Jr PhD (A.J. Hinton), organizer of Community of Scholars and mentor of many. His mentee @IHicsasmaz tells the story in Cell Mentor: crosstalk.cell.com/blog/the-journ…

Congrats to the 1,000 inspiring Black scientists included in this list generated by Community of Scholars! It's great to see members of our CADRE community of Ed Researchers highlighted: former CADRE postdocs, RSRoby & Terrell Morton, PhD, and CADRE PI Dr. T! crosstalk.cell.com/blog/1000-insp…

Martina E. A5: very similar to my A4 response but I’ll add Community of Scholars is one of my biggest support groups for this current time.

Since then, Dr. Hinton helped found Community of Scholars, who've together provided three additional lists, including the 1,000 inspiring Black scientists list -- a monument to our shared goals to change the way people envision scientists. crosstalk.cell.com/blog/1000-insp…

Cell Mentor Wow, thank you! I have enjoyed our collaborations. Thank you for giving me and others a voice. I know myself and the Community of Scholars are very happy about these opportunities to improve academia.

Dr. Hinton comprised a list of 100 inspiring Black scientists in America and also founded Community of Scholars , which published a larger list 1000 inspiring Black scientists in America.

Excited to join and contribute to the Penn State BMB, Penn State Eberly College of Science, and Huck Institutes communities as a faculty member! Thankful to the support and guidance from HHMI and BWFUND during this process. The The McReynolds Lab! is now open and looking for members to join!

When people ask me what enables me to thrive and stay in science, its times like this month, when I was able to celebrate the accomplishments of two Black women in STEM @channyskye Dr. Melanie McReynolds that are now faculty, that mean so so much.

This has been a year of wins for us! Another scholar is joining the ranks and opening her lab at Fred Hutch Cancer Center next Spring! Congrats Tina Termini (a.k.a. Cut-Tina) 🎉

I would like to especially thank the Community of Scholars members Andrea Marshall Angela P Dr. S. Afua Cannon Flora Rutaganira @channyskye Tina Termini Brittany Taylor, PhD Dr. Melanie McReynolds ProjectStrengthen Edgar Garza.

Some members in academia suffer from microaggressions leading to decreased performance. In a #BehindThePaper Interview, we chatted with AJ Hinton Antentor Othrell Hinton, Jr PhD (A.J. Hinton) about how we can identify and combat microaggressions. Andrea Marshall Community of Scholars fems-microbiology.org/microaggressio…
