We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a Local School Nature Grant, thanks to players of the People's Postcode Lottery! We will be benefitting from various equipment for our new Forest School's Project that we are launching in September. Learning through Landscapes Postcode Lottery
Year 3 had a fantastic day at Murton Park where we learnt all about being a Roman soldier. We dressed in tunics and made oil lamps and wrote our names in Latin. Murton Park
Amazing surprise for 1 lucky person in Y1! In PSHE, Y1 were thinking about people who were special to them and why. All the children made a card for that person. 1 child chose their idol, Jack Grealish. Jack replied with a signed photo! Thank you Manchester City Jack Grealish
A huge thank you to all the sports leaders The Wensleydale School & Sixth Form who made the Summer Sports Day Y5 transition event so successful. We had a fab time taking part in rounders matches, athletic events and the tug of war.
FS1 had an exciting trip to the Library on Friday. They enjoyed looking around and having Storytime read by some CRACCL volunteers. Thank you Catterick, Richmond & Colburn Community Libraries.
Our Year 5 and 6 children worked with our Local PCSOs, Katie and Paul, on healthy relationships and bullying. We love our partnership with the police and how they are supporting our children! North Yorkshire Police

FS2 thoroughly enjoyed an online story time with author and illustrator duo Michelle Robinson and Tom Knight. They shared their latest book, 'WHEN COOKIE CRUMBLED!' It was about being true to yourself and the power of friendship. Thank you Scholastic UK Scholastic UK Teachers
We have started the year with a whole school writing unit from Literacy Tree . We were all immersed into 'Flooded' by Mariajo Ilustrajo. What a fantastic start using writing roots! Watch this space for more exciting starters into new books and some fantastic writing!
On Wednesday 11th October we had our Stone age visitor in who was amazing. She show us clothes, tools, pots and even how they lived! We had a chance to draw using a range of chalk and charcoal. We hope she comes back again! historytolife
