Overwhelmed... Today I was promoted to become chair of physiology TU Dresden next year. A dream come true to head an institute of physiology working on #islets, #diabetes, #metabolism in an excellent scientific environment @Medizin_TUD, Paul Langerhans Institute Dresden - PLID, CRTD, MPI-CBG Dresden, etc...

This is it! My 1st day as director and chair of physiology @Medizin_TUD, following the symbolic handover of the key by Prof. Deußen, who filled this position as a true role model and mentor for >25yrs. A huge honor to step into his shoes and take over a great institute and team.
