Kids today pitch too much and throw too little. The answer, according to coaches Tom House 〽️ and Jaeger Sports, is long toss. Check out our latest blog to learn how to incorporate this training method into your throwing routine! bit.ly/3chjRtw

“If you can time a fastball & can lay off a breaking ball & command the zone then you stand a chance. If you can’t time a fastball this is not the league for you. You cannot play in this league without being able to time the very best fastball.” Joey Votto

One person in pursuit of excellence raises the standards of everyone around them. And as they strive for greatness they bring out the greatness in others. Be that one person today. - Jon Gordon | @jongordon11

Why MLB hitters live in the 4-12° AA range: #AAthread Most pitches at the college & professional level come in with a vertical approach angle of -4 to -8°. Hitters with avg AA's within that range will likely provide more room for error to make flush contact or just make contact

When a child plays, this is how it looks in their imagination. Pure joy, happiness and celebration. If your watching your son/daughter today, don't be the one who stands out from the crowd shouting and barking, you've had your childhood, let them enjoy theirs. Let them play!

Going into the off-season of your sophomore year (If You—): -Throw below 80mph -Weigh less than 160 lbs -Exit velo (off a tee/wood bat) below 80mph -Run slower than a 7.5 (60-yd) Odds are good that it’s time to get serious about the weight room. Or plan to be very average.

#1 problem with youth sports is parents contaminating team culture… Kids often times want to be good teammates but hear parents speak about kids on their team a certain way and kids repeat it and the bonds are broken. PSA: You always know when parents are speaking through kids

Ever see a kid toss up a ball in the back yard and try to hit it as far as he can by doing this? Me either. So my philosophy is let's build from what he wants to do naturally and go from there. I think we take the fun part away often times without realizing it.

Dan Heefer explaining the back hip + loaded - Most players desire to feel 'back'; Do that as you work forward. Example: Throwing motion - He's one of the highest regarded & productive coaches in the game.

At the power 5 level last year, 52.7% of all pitches thrown were outside the Trackman strike zone. Hitter training environments should almost always involve a swing decision component. Keep the tee work to a minimum.

The state of youth baseball has really changed and many families are being misled. The initial plan we had with youth club ball has turned into something I don’t think we envisioned. Community ball needs a revival imho in the 6-11u age group. Focus on development, and fun 1st.
