If you’re a Saturday coach and you want to find some absolute dawgs just go to section 1 in MN and visit everyone! 5A down to 9man, section 1 is pumping out talent year after year.

This is why having a qualified person running every single high schools S&C program is so important. Over training is a ticking time bomb that usually goes off in the most intense moments, which are usually the most important moments. Don’t burn the steak.

Everyone talks about “hitting it hard” in the summer. Let’s say your team trains 3days/week for 8 weeks. 24 total sessions. If you miss: 1 time= 4.1% (95.8%) 2 times= 8.3% (91.6%) 3 times= 12.5% (87.5%) 6 times= 25% (75%) 9 times= 37.5% (62.5%) How committed are you?

The goal of “summer training” is to fill kids cups. To make them better. Can training be challenging? Sure. But intentionally beating down unprepared kids, (while it’s your job to physically prepare them) in the name of “mEnTaL tOuGhNeSs” isn’t the flex you think it is.

IMO Every single HS and most MS athletes should be taking creatine…after they get the rest of their house in order. Properly dosed and effective training ✅ Nutrition and recovery ✅. When those boxes are checked take the creatine.
