Jay Wright retiring… huge news, but I’ve never been a bigger fan of a singular moment in coaching than this: national title on the line, perfectly executed play, shot goes up, he simply whispers “bang” to himself & walks down the sideline… imagine being that cool! 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ HOW?! 😂

I love when the Miami HEAT are referred to as “a program”… normally that term is reserved for college basketball, but it gives the feel that even at the highest levels there is value in loyalty, leadership, accountability, etc … and it’s hard to dispute their results!

If you think analytics in basketball is a relatively new phenomenon, you never kept score in a “hot shot” competition at a summer basketball camp… 9 year olds have been calculating the risk/reward of a 5 pointer from the top of the key vs fast 1 point layups for 50 years 😂😂

It was a day off for the falcons, but here’s a recap of our weekend: 865.2 miles traveled, 15.5 hours in buses/vans, 7 team meals together, & 1 “shoot around” in a hotel conference room… but most importantly, 3-0 in Baltimore county… back to work tomorrow! #GoFalconsTakeFlight

We took a thumping last night from Sullivan CC Basketball … they are exactly what a good basketball team should be: physical, athletic, efficient… exactly what we aim to be… so, we turn the page and get better today!

On the road home from a game tonight, & I couldn’t have received better news… the alma mater took home the Finan Title! First time they’ve had both the Wallace and Finan trophies in 13 seasons - that year, we won the third trophy over Xmas break #LookOutTuronisTourney #Trifecta

Settling in for a viewing of #AChristmasStory. For me, watching this movie on Christmas Eve is the pinnacle of holiday anticipation… it’s like the 1 minute horn in a pregame warmup! I hope everyone is celebrating their holiday season in whatever ways bring you these simple joys!
