It was indicated the government is committed to decarbonising our rail network, but any mention of doing so by 2035 was conspicuously absent. The climate emergency merits a serious response backed up with action. We need reassurance this is not the latest target to be dumped.

I have written to Lloyds Banking Group to express my staunch opposition to the closure of our last remaining banks in Caithness and Sutherland. These banks have a duty of service to their customers which cannot be fulfilled without real people. It is as simple as that!
