Completing two months of the first ever daily lagoon cleanup operation by #cleanoceanforce on the #Negombo #lagoon removing more than 1000 Kgs of #plastics and other #pollutants floating on the lagoon and stuck in the #mangroves using traditional #catamarans.

620 kgs of PET collected and handed over for #recycling from the famous #Preethipura beach in #Wattala by Clean Ocean Force. These plastic waste was collected on a daily basis by COF Women’s force. Within a span of 20 days a total of 1000 Kgs of PET was sent for recycling.

COF partners with the American corner Jaffna to work towards preventing Ocean pollution in the Northern Province of #srilanka. We take this opportunity to thank her excellency Julie J Chung, Ambassador Julie Chung for facilitating this partnership as a move to save the beautiful Indian ocean.
