5 years ago today with the help of many, I isolated the californium mellitate xmas tree. Still definitely a top 3 crystal I have ever seen especially due to the timing of the year. It alone was so radioactive it damaged the glass slide it was on.

Curious fact! These supramolecular Van der Waals interactions (sticky fingers) are the same ones that allow geckos to climb walls or even the ceiling 🦎

I am recruiting PhD students Princeton Computer Science interested in ML applications in bio! Our group aims to define new problems for AI in molecular & structural bio. We work at the intersection of many areas incl 3D vision & generative modeling for proteins. Plus we make useful tools!❄️🐉
