We welcome the appointment of Luke Hall MP and look forward to introducing him to the wonderful world of specialist FE. We hope he will work closely with David Johnston OBE MP to align SEND and FE policy to benefit our learners & the colleges who support them.
Some flexibility on these new requirements is desperately needed for students with SEND. We hope to work with Department for Education to allow for this flexibility
Sorry to hear this news Robert Halfon MP ➡️Working Hard for Harlow⬅️ - a minister with a strong commitment to all FE learners. As Chair of the Education Select Committee, Robert Halfon led an excellent review into SEND and it's a shame many of those recommendations were not implemented
Great question from Robin Walker to the PM at Liaison Committee just now asking why the govt doesn't focus on fundamental causes of LA debt rather than running programmes like Safety Valve.
I’m 100% behind this but only if colleges are included, making a tertiary education system that can truly meet 100% of the needs of the population, all employers, jobs at all levels, in all places @[email protected] Jim Dickinson Smita Jamdar 💙 🇺🇦 @[email protected]
Our CEO, Clare Howard , challenges government to ‘address the poor coordination and policy fragmentation for SEND in FE’.
Congratulations to @natspec member St Piers School and College - Outstanding in all areas! 🥂👏

Good news govt is recognising the issues raised by David Hughes CBE Association of Colleges (AoC)
It’s good to join this important conference at Portland College and hear from excellent line up of speakers, discussing importance of employment for disabled people and veterans Care after Combat HQ
