🎨🖼️ King’s Inns was happy to unveil the portrait of The Hon Mary Finlay Geoghegan. The portrait was commissioned to recognise the contribution that the judge made to the development of the legal education at King’s Inns. It was painted by the Irish artist Vera Klute.

I've lived in many countries but nowhere does funerals like the Irish. People in UK and France are always surprised when I tell them about Irish funerals! Watching this has made me a bit homesick for the things that make Ireland a weird but wonderful place! Beautiful service.

We are so pleased that the hardwork of Center for Democratic and Environmental Rights and Claire Nevin on behalf of Lawyers For Nature has led to this - Ireland is one step closer to a constitutional amendment enshrining the Rights of Nature!

1) Reading lots of comments re people who come to Ireland, live off benefits & never work etc. Just for context, I and many other social workers have worked with many Irish in other countries who emigrated, had lifelong difficulties & relied on state support/turned to crime.

Today, 6 January, is #NollaignamBan or Women’s Christmas.   It is a tradition in Ireland for over 100 years which celebrates the contribution and accomplishments of women in society.

PFAS from firefighting Foam & deicing fluid for planes has contaminated soil & water in Dublin Airport. Daa started remediating last year without planning consent or carrying out full EIA & AA but we found out. Myself & other community groups are holding them to account.

Life shouldn't be about accumulating more money and objects it should be about enjoying *real* luxury when you can.
