Bala Bredin's moving account of 2nd Bn. Royal Ulster Rifles' fighting withdrawal to Dunkirk. His description (on Reel 2) of his attempt at ordering a beer as they left the coast is "legendary". He later served with the Faughs, Skins & 2 LIR in Italy. iwm.org.uk/collections/it…

On the day we said our farewells to Pipe Major Gerald Griffin, a reminder of a decent (in my opinion) "Then and Now" at Centuripe. Gerald is seen about to tip his straw hat in memory of the lads who scaled the precipitous slopes into the town on 2 August 1943. Faugh a Ballagh
