Bumper crop in the post today: a paper copy of Times Higher Education with the feature on mentoring that I contributed to (thanks Paul Jump!), & this week's The TLS with my review of Rick Stroud 's I am Not Afraid of the Rifles - a welcome new addition to the study of women during WWI.

Chris Kempshall Flis Tattersall and I worked together on the latest article to be published as part of our War Ephemera SI for Genealogy MDPI. A reflective piece on community co-production, marginalised histories, and learning to embrace failure. A humbling research experience.

I personally think it should be disqualifying as a headteacher if you can't spot when kids are very obviously fucking with you.

Please up your game, if it can be called that Today & Amol Rajan and stop pussyfooting about. It isn't difficult to call a spade a spade and report that Israel is quite deliberately blocking aid routes and may be guilty of genocide.

This speech is the root of ALL trans hysteria you see every day in the UK. Was given at a US conference where attendees were told to separate the T first.
Note the intro “…the LGBT Alliance is actually fragile.”

Low and behold what gets launched afterwards - LGB Alliance

This is a good thread. Legum is right. The problem is that, for some of these folks, the mere acceptance of Black, women, LGBTQ, etc issues as worthy of study and teaching goes against what they want all education institutions to be—mills to produce pliant workers & capitalists
