On 15th-04-2026, the Ministry of Water and Environment(MWE) social team, together with Chrisbert Consult Ltd, the Stakeholder Engagement Consultant organised Stakeholder Engagement meetings to pay transport facilitation allowances for Grievance Redress Committees members.

During the exercise, a total of 31 members( 19 males and 12 females) received transport facilitation allowances covering the months of Feb, Mar & and April 2026. Members who have received are from Kisyoro ward, Iryango ward, Central ward, Northern ward & Kabuyanda Town Council.

On 23rd-04-2026, A joint team comprising representatives from MWE, JBN consultants,WAPACOS, CR-18G (Contractors) & Stakeholder Engagement Consultant-Chrisbert Consult (U) Ltd conducted an inspection of contractor's active sites at Kabuyanda Irrigation Scheme in Isingiro District

The inspection focused on key safety measures, particularly proper barricading and the use of safety tapes, to ensure that all active sites are secure and do not pose any risk to the surrounding communities, especially children.

Today, the 3rd site meeting was successfully conducted on the implementation of catchment management measures around Kabuyanda Irrigation Dam.
