Tomorrow is the Feast of St. John before the Latin Gate.
The glorious triumph of St. John after his arrest and potential death happened just beyond the gate of Rome called the Latina. A church which ever since has borne this title was consecrated there, in memory of the miracle.

So far The Green Party has been given a light ride unlike their bigger rivals but as they grow in authority, and start to run more councils, and sit in government in Scotland, they should face proper scrutiny - especially over choosing an outrageous candidate such as this!

You know that The Green Party councillor who got elected? Well Mothin Ali was one of those who targeted a rabbi. Bizarrely Ali said the rabbi might “kill students here” after *legally* required reserve duty. The rabbi was forced into hiding and the Greens did nothing. Shameful.

A Jewish friend in the local community has given me a #YellowCandle to burn in commemoration on #YomHashoah .

May the souls of the departed through the mercy of God rest in peace.
