We are continuing to have an amazing/ busy time at Virginia Institute of Marine Science on our @sos_bangor_uni Bangor University field course! Student projects at VIMS are about to start but here are a few more pictures of our #fieldwork! Knobbed whelk, sea pork and hard clams which have incorporated iron pyrites into their shells leaving this amazing gold colouring @sos_bangor_uni 😃🐌

A huge range of student led projects have started out here at VIMS, including looking at the influence of saltmarsh regime shift & sea level rise, optimal foraging behaviour, sponge reaggregation, colour change and preference in ghost/ fiddler crabs & behavioural studies 🧐
