OTD in 1780, General Cornwallis resoundingly defeated General Gates at the Battle of #Camden, South Carolina despite being vastly outnumbered. The Americans lost over 2,000 soldiers in 1 hour. It is considered the worst tactical loss for the Americans in the War.
