'Participant reoffending rate for the last 3 years is 5%. Reoffending rate for England & Wales is 48%.' - of course there are many contributory factors but I love that the power of music can also support people to a better future. Great work Changing Tunes π

A message from CEO David - 'The first quarter of 2024 has zipped by, with exciting developments. New work in HMP Dartmoor & HMP Stocken is now well established. We also have a new staff structure that will allow & enable the growth that we expect to see in the rest of 2024.'

Our 'Tuning In' project at HMP Eastwood Park facilitates therapeutic songwriting sessions, creating a supportive community for women to express & process their feelings about being a mum in prison. We have supported women to write 13 songs for their children. #MothersDay2024

We're highlighting our work with women this week, in the run-up to #InternationalWomensDay ! Our four wonderful female Musicians-in-Residence have worked with over 60 women at HMP Eastwood Park & HMP Drake Hall in the past year, with 270 music sessions and 7 performances ππ΅
It's #PrisonMusicWeek π΅ We are delivering sessions every day, alongside Beating Time Finding Rhythms Sing Inside Irene Taylor Trust & Prison Choir Project. We're proud to be part of a fantastic group of organisations providing high quality music provision in prisons across the country.
We now have 19 Musicians-in-Residence π΅ Sending a huge welcome to our newest colleagues π Livvy at HMP Eastwood Park & Jake at HMPBristol. They join a passionate & experienced team to deliver our long-term, trauma-informed music programmes in prisons around the country.
