Leanne Wood 💚💛 is right- "we cannot afford to lose these outdoor centres" Time is of the essence - outdoor centres are closing now. Centres have an important place in the rural Welsh economy, & even more important place in the education of our young people: they must be supported.

So, #Budget2021 what does it mean for residential outdoor education centres? Two things will help out: ✅Furlough extension ✅Business rates relief But they won't #SaveOutdoorEd - our sector has still not been recognised, we are STILL desperate for some sector specific support.

Last week, the PM told me he could see no reason why outdoor education couldn't reopen this month. Since then we've had radio silence from Government and there was absolutely nothing in the Budget for this vital sector. The Government has thrown outdoor education under a bus.
