Back to the classroom for Paul, Daniel and Sean! They were taking part in a #WorldofWork day with the 2nd years in St Oliver's CC. During this 'Day in the Life' session about working in Irish Cement there were some really great questions from the pupils. Well done to all. 👏

The breakthrough technology of carbon capture storage/utilisation simply put: 🇪🇺 cement companies capture the CO2 emitted in #cement production directly out of the cement kiln. Then they can permanently store this CO2 or put it to further use. Goal is reducing emissions to 0️⃣

There’s lots of interest in the FUELFLEX® Pyrolyzer, a world first technology, developed by FLS, decarbonising our cement production. It’ll be on your television screens very soon, which we will keep you updated on, but until then watch this video➡️ youtu.be/5C8mRPpH2ow

Great news, the Barn Owl nest box fitted on our site in Limerick by The Barn Owl Project 🇮🇪 was used this year and the pair reared 5 chicks. A second pair nested in a crevice in our quarry. Photo by Hugh Sweeney

Our team of volunteers collected 51 bags of litter yesterday along sections of the N69, Barrack Road, Mungret Village and from Quinn’s Cross back to the factory. Good luck to the organisations, schools and communities who will be busy tomorrow. #teamlimerickcleanup #TLC #TLC10
