On this Patriot Day, we remember the nearly 3,000 people who died 19 years ago. VA honors the Veterans who perished and the brave Veterans who responded that day, as well as the Veterans who deployed in the years following in defense of our country. We honor their service.

Today, we pause to remember those who lost their lives on 9/11/2001. As we conclude our #FieldofFlags today, the more than 3,873 flags displayed at DAV (Disabled American Veterans) serve as a powerful reminder of the strength and resilience of our nation and the many sacrifices made for our freedoms.
