For decades, federally impacted schools have been educating kids across Montana. I'm proud to be leading a bipartisan bill to get these schools the resources to carry on that vital mission through the Impact Aid program—because every kid deserves access to a quality education.

Montanans have long relied on the affordability of manufactured homes, but these options are increasingly out of reach for seniors and working families. At a recent Senate hearing, I pressed experts on ways to protect this housing resource in the Treasure State:

NEW: My bipartisan FEND Off Fentanyl Act has JUST become law, giving law enforcement much-needed tools to hold drug traffickers accountable for their role in the fentanyl crisis. It’s a huge step forward in our work to get poisonous drugs off our streets and keep Montanans safe.

I'm joining my colleagues in a bipartisan push to modernize our nation's 9-1-1 emergency reporting system. Under our Enhancing First Response Act, Montanans can be sure that when they dial 9-1-1 during natural disasters, the call will always go through.

I have serious concerns that the Biden Administration's one-size-fits-all staffing mandate will be unworkable for rural nursing homes. While well-intentioned, the burdensome requirement fails to address concerns I've heard from local providers in Montana.
