Nothing scares $TSLAQ shorts as much as the words “2020 Redux” when TSLA soared +742% based on the successful launch of the Model Y CUV. Similar setup with huge potential TAM expansion as $TSLA enters the Compact category with a $25K-$30K Tesla M-3 hatchback aka Model Q.

We’re obviously thrilled that $TSLA is at an all-time high. $TSLA remains our 4th largest position ex-cash even after we trimmed 1/8 of our position last month. Three dynamics to keep in mind as we near year-end: 1/ When TSLA’s stock price rises above bullish analysts’

The trade war is back: Minutes after President Trump announced 25% tariffs on the EU, the S&P 500 erased $500+ BILLION of market cap. Meanwhile, Bitcoin just broke below $84,000 for the first time since November 11th. What's next? Let us explain. (a thread)

At around 12:30 PM ET, President Trump began answering questions about tariffs. He said 25% tariffs will be announced "very soon" and that the EU "was formed to screw the US." He mentioned that the tariffs would be applied "generally" and specifically called out car imports.

For example, a 25% tariff on Canada and Mexico raises costs for US automakers. This tariff would add ~$3,000 to the price of some of the ~16 million cars sold in the US each year. Food costs are set to rise as well, with Mexico supplying over 60% of fresh produce to the US.

The US says it will raise China tariffs another 10 percentage points on Tuesday. That will take the average tariff rate from just under 20% to just under 40%, which is huge. If this happens, China has no choice but to devalue the Yuan, with lots of bad knock-on effects for EM...

In 10 years, the US government will be $55-60 trillion in debt (which will be 7-7.5 times government revenue) because there will be $25-30 trillion of additional borrowing. That amounts to about $425,000 of debt per American family. When I calculate the supply and demand for
