The direction of travel should be to provide access to the hills for as many people as possible and that should include cyclists who have been using (& often maintaining) for a very long time. Hopefully we can find a sensible solution.

The Middle Trail will be closed tomorrow from 10:00 AM to 14:00 for some essential maintenance.

Many thanks to one of the Cavehill Conservation Campaign Group Volunteers who kindly removed graffiti on the signage for the Middle Trail using a kit supplied by Belfast PCSP and Belfast City Council Before and after shots.

In June of we wrote Andrew Muir MLA asking for a meeting to discuss access to Tollymore & other DAERA owned forests. After 3 mths we were disappointed to be refused. Sadly intransigence ignores the risks & regular call-outs by rescue services to help injured mountain bikers.

Please note that the path highlighted (red & white) in the attached map will be closed for filming on Friday the 13th of Sept from 7am to 12 noon. We ask all mountain bikers to avoid this area during these times. Belfast City Council
