“Never forget, when you’re being pressured to prove that safe bike-lanes or pedestrian crossings across unsafe conditions are ‘needed,’ it's hard to justify a bridge by the number of people swimming across a raging, crocodile-filled river.” — Brent Toderian

Good to hear Thames Water 💧 have acted at last on local residents' concerns about sewage smells along Woodhatch Road -broken pump found and fixed. Hope this is the end of Earlswood Brook smelling of sewage too. A small step for our beleaguered rivers.

That separated, protected lane ABSOLUTELY fights #ClimateChange. And air pollution. And inequality. And preventable diseases. And public health cost increases. And cost of living increases. And tax increases. And it supports economic devt & allows more trips in a lot less space.

@RedhillGreens - Take a look at Emlyn Road/St John's Road, for example. Remove the need for Community Speedwatch with simple re-engineering like this.

Bottom trawling is now permanently banned in four offshore UK Marine Protected Areas (MPAs). But dozens more UK MPAs are still being plundered by industrial fishing vessels. Politicians must go further and ban destructive fishing from ALL UK MPAs: act.gp/3jBuzeL

Local councils should match how we vote. They do in Scotland, N. Ireland and in Wales councils can choose a fairer system. England is being left behind. Add your name to Electoral Reform Society's call for everyone to have a vote that can make a difference. ers.tools/local-democracy
