Stardust Redding ⭐️☮️ Its a rumor that's been thrown around in SD. Brodie did a video on it last month. Padres are in a shitload of debt with no TV deal, internal ownership problems, and Petco deal with SD is nearing the opt outs.

The Padres appear to be moving closer to a potential sale, with initial bids expected near the end of this month, sources tell The Athletic. News with Mike Vorkunov: nytimes.com/athletic/70256…

The A’s ballpark had a massive funding shortfall at its original estimated cost of $1.2 billion, now it has quietly jumped up to $2 billion—zero scrutiny or skepticism from local media, politicians or the LVCVA. These. Are. Not. Serious. People.

Mick Akers Mick, we actually don’t know how much the A’s stadium will cost. We were told a minimum of $2B. No Max Price set yet. No outside investors yet. You know it’s a bad plan when you can’t get investors to sign onto a MLB team. Fisher has never made a dime on his own. It’s inherited.

TB will never happen. It's a $10b project including the surrounding complex. That's $5b in public money with too many moving parts. It relies on the largess of DeSantis who will be out of office come November. Term limited.

Which is why MLB is not going to financially fund the LV stadium project. It’s on Fisher and if he doesn’t invest the $1B+ needed, he’s going to fail on his own.

The “Oakland Aspect” is quite interesting because if Joe Lacob were to become an MLB owner & wanted to relocate a team to Oakland, the other owners would have to comply especially if they wanted a favor down the road. youtu.be/MtaWhtmitUU?si… via YouTube

Tim Phares Casey Witt YouTube I'd say make Fisher sell the A's to Lacob, grant Fisher an expansion team for Vegas. Fisher won't get the stadium done in time. Leave the Padres in San Diego. Then those regions are all satisfied.

It’s going to take a lot of $106,000 PSLs to fill a billion-dollar funding gap. Plus, the biggest lie the A’s have told so far: “There’s obviously tremendous demand for all the products in the ballpark.”

Then MLB owners need to force Fisher out and make him sell the A’s to an investment group that will keep them in Oakland. Preferably Joe Lacob.

If TV deals are the issue, then there’s no reason to move the A’s to LV (40th market) from the Bay Area (Top 10 in the market).
