I'm trying to get my students into good habits with their Carousel homework - to not race through the flashcards - so I'm trying the following instructions, and so far the students seem to be engaging with the flashcards much better and doing less cramming!

Claudia Lewis Carousel This is great. I too have been trying to teach my students how to use their time effectively and to spread the load...small consistent revision tasks done everyday make a huge difference to recall in a test but importantly helps you make connections to ideas being taught in class

Fantastic first webinar with the inaugural Retrieving Better cohort. Today we went into mad detail on how to hit the ground running with out-of-lesson retrieval. Hope I lived up to the commitment we made at the start! Carousel

We've been very lucky to have David Didau as OrmistonAcads' first Senior Lead Practitioner for English. Here's a unique opportunity to build on the foundations that David and the team have created and to lead our ambitious English subject work across the trust in the future.

Such a great thread. I love my job and it *is* complex. But there are elements that are predictable. We need to focus on these areas to create learning environments where all our learners can improve. It’s not eye-catching or sexy. But it can be done and it does help.
