Hear, hear, Michael! We had access to free musical instrument loans when I was growing up. So many talented children slipping through the net due to underfunding of the arts... 😟

The Independent today indicating, on the back of my call, Sunak team say its ready to work with Truss on this 'after the price cap announcement' (26 Aug) That's too late. In May the govt acted after Ofgem issued forward guidance on cap. Ofgem PLEASE do the same now.

Wtf?! No average working person can afford this, let alone the unemployed, incapacitated and those on state pensions... #EnoughIsEnough

IMPORTANT Pls share In May govt announced decent help based on predicted 42% rise in the Oct to Apr energy price cap (that'd take a typical bill to £2,800) Now the rise for that period's likely to be 126% (£4,460 for a typical bill) Pls read why & my plea to the new PM Cont/d

This is who these people are. Fetishisation of childhood deprivation; no empathy for anyone who is poor, cold, or disabled; no aspiration to do better than historical misery. A vicious, brutal, angry, sneering group of sociopaths.

Damn. The government has rejected recommendations to recognise #menopause as a protected characteristic and to pilot menopause leave, because it's worried about discriminating against... men! Women's healthcare in the UK ranks low and set to get lower... theguardian.com/society/2023/j…
