On Mother’s Day, I’m thinking about the Palestinian woman who comforted a boy who lost his mother by saying, “We are all your mothers.”

It’s been impossible to think about motherhood without remembering the video of the woman in Gaza holding her two martyred babies explaining, through tears, the decades long-IVF process that brought them into the world. For all the mothers of Palestine, for the worlds they make.
