I addressed a rally of college lecturers outside parliament today. They were protesting their treatment by the government and the sector's management.

Why on earth are oats on the list of SNP foods never to be sold at a discounted price? Surely in nationalist Scotland, Scotch Porridge Oats should be mandatory on everyone’s shopping list? Is that not what made us who we are? And wha’s like us?

Looking back to this speech from Johann Lamont (ca 37 min) in the final Hate Crime debate. We are as moved to tears now as then by the raw emotion, power and conviction. This is why we will win... because we have women like Johann on our side. scottishparliament.tv/meeting/debate…

One wonders what Patrick Harvie would say to climate change deniers. Does he agree with them when they challenge the science? Or does he just pick and choose which science to respect according to his beliefs? Tough to decide who to believe - Harvie or an actual doctor?

An angry patrickharvie asks Humza Yousaf: "Who does the First Minister think he has pleased most today? Is it Douglas Ross, Fergus Ewing or Alex Salmond?" #FMQs

I spoke to the BBC about why the Scottish Liberal Democrats are backing the vote of no confidence in the SNP government. We need a government that is focused on the issues people care about, not the chaos of the last week.

Not to diminish this in any way but we did something very similar in the Brownies back in the 60s. We used each other’s legs rather than bamboo poles - not too many of them in Scotland at the time. To my knowledge, no-one actually sustained a broken leg but it was a possibility.

The problems facing computing science education in school were raised by Mark Logan at Education, Children and Young People Committee. The FOI data quoted ⬇️ comes from our new report, which includes a breakdown by school. Read the full report here: reformscotland.com/publication/co…

As a HT I allocated classroom assistant time to HE to help with ordering, unpacking deliveries and preparing food for recipes. Teaching children to cook should be a priority with Scotland’s health record, and delivering that requires the same support as science and technology.

The voting figures in this GE are entirely misleading. In England and Wales people voted tactically so get the Tories out. In Scotland we voted tactically to get the SNP out. The voting percentages are meaningless but the voters got the result they wanted. Democracy in action.

I could watch Alex Yee winning the triathlon gold medal until the cows come home. Pure determination and unbelievable stamina. What the Olympics are all about. Not men punching women in a boxing ring - horrifying. Shame on Morocco and the IOC.

⬇️My mother once told me she could spot a teacher at 100 yards. I scoffed. She checked out the people in the street and pointed to a guy and said ‘Him’. Reader, I knew him and he was a teacher. I did not tell her she was right. Omniscient mothers need no encouragement.

So we ban Lance Armstrong for taking drugs which will give him a small but important advantage over his male rivals because it’s cheating but we let 51 year old male Valentina Petrillo have a huge advantage with no issue at all against female athletes! Why is this being allowed?

I think JKRowling deserves a statue in Edinburgh for her services to women and girls, for her commitment to biological reality as opposed to wilfully mistaken ideology, and for her relentless civility and logical argument in the face of irrational hate and toxicity.

Zelensky is a genius. He started his 1v1 meeting with Trump by thanking Melania Trump for sending Putin a letter asking for Ukraine's children to be returned. Zelensky then gave trump a letter for his wife from the First Lady of Ukraine. Trump was pretty mild after that.
