Exciting scenes at Bethel Community Church, #Newport as the roof trusses are now on site, and look massive! After a devastating fire three years ago, the roof will soon be back on, as rebuilding work continues.

New year and new roof as rafters are being lifted into place at Bethel church, The big crane in the middle of the building, which until recently was a fixture of the #Newport skyline is now gone!

Brrrr, frosty scenes in the Forest of Dean during a visit to Gunns Mill last week, where structural stabilisation works are being carried out to the former blast furnace, which dates from the 17th Century.

It was great to visit St Edburgha's Church church in Yardley last week, their reordered North aisle is making a fantastic community space, and there are lots of interesting features on the walls, including a recently discovered wall painting of some timber panelling. #birmingham

An interesting find at Gunns Mill this week by Black Mountains Arch - a curved brick structure topped with small flat stones. It looks like a 18th or 19th century kiln, but what it was heating is currently a mystery. Us architects are hoping it's a pizza oven :). #Gloucestershire

It was great to see the difference in appearance following window repairs at Tewkesbury abbey hall this morning, and a view of the abbey we don't get to see from ground level. Tewkesbury Abbey

Works are almost complete at Gunns Mill Furnace, the north-east wall is now rebuilt, as part of structural repairs to the building

Now the scaffolding is down at #tewkesbury abbey hall, the recently repaired first floor windows are looking particularly smart, and previously painted shut ones now open. Secondary glazing has been added internally to improve energy efficiency.

Before and during works for a new chancel screen at the Royal Garrison Church in #portsmouth. We're now eagerly awaiting the glazing. The brass-clad frame will be patinated to an antique bronze finish.
