Barnet were arguably the better team, but not quite good enough to win. Nonethelees, Cambridge makes a fine away day. #CUFC #BarnetFC

The Secret Maps Exhibition at the British Library is well worth a look. As this shows, maps are not just for navigating, but a tool for power, knowledge and even deception. Thought-provoking.

The Twixmas Theatre Trip has become something of a tradition. The production of Arthur Miller's "All My Sons" was excellent. Such a great plot touching on the themes of family dynamics, deceit and the pursuit of the American Dream. #AllMySons

Great day's volunteering at WWT London Wetland Centre yesterday. The Bittern was showing well from Dulverton. Also Redwing in the car park area, a Snipe from the Wildside Hide, and lovely flock of Siskin and Redpoll in the alders of the Summer Route. #LondonBirds

Delighted to have become a member of the parkrun UK 250 Club and to have earned the right to sport a green shirt. That's a lot of lie-ins that never happened!

Really enjoyed Train Dreams: a film that felt genuinely novel. It touched on loneliness, regret, and how the seemingly unremarkable individual can have a remarkable legacy.

A turgid game enlivened by a dramatic winner in injury time. Hartigan, when introduced, brought composure and guile. Barnet perhaps a little fortunate, but Tranmere only have themselves to blame for their lack of ambition. #BarnetFC

A rare trip to the cinema tonight. H is Hawk was a good watch: very well acted and a tremendous portrayal of the intensity and impact of grief. And what an impressive creature the Goshawk is!

A lack of quality in the final third was the difference between #BarnetFC getting one point rather than three today. But that slight disappointment shows how far we've come. 🐝🐝 Credit to #ShrewsburyTownFC for offering a good away day experience. πŸ‘

There's always something of ornithological interest at RSPB Minsmere 🌍 and yesterday was no exception: the Caspian Gull was a lifer. Not a bird that featured in my childhood bird books! Bewick's Swan and Goosander also nice sightings. #SuffolkBirds
