Great day's volunteering at WWT London Wetland Centre yesterday. The Bittern was showing well from Dulverton. Also Redwing in the car park area, a Snipe from the Wildside Hide, and lovely flock of Siskin and Redpoll in the alders of the Summer Route. #LondonBirds

A turgid game enlivened by a dramatic winner in injury time. Hartigan, when introduced, brought composure and guile. Barnet perhaps a little fortunate, but Tranmere only have themselves to blame for their lack of ambition. #BarnetFC

A rare trip to the cinema tonight. H is Hawk was a good watch: very well acted and a tremendous portrayal of the intensity and impact of grief. And what an impressive creature the Goshawk is!

The Museum of Cider museum in Hereford was fascinating. Learnt a lot and have a new found respect for this drink! 🍎🍏

There's always something of ornithological interest at RSPB Minsmere 🌍 and yesterday was no exception: the Caspian Gull was a lifer. Not a bird that featured in my childhood bird books! Bewick's Swan and Goosander also nice sightings. #SuffolkBirds
